1) What do I need to rent a car from Maria Jonwil Car Rental(Cagayan de Oro)?

A valid driver’s license, a government-issued photo ID
(passport for foreigners). An International Driving Permit (IDP) is strongly
recommended for foreign visitors.


2) What is the minimum age to rent?

25 years old and above. Drivers under 25 are not eligible to
rent with Maria Jonwil Car Rental. Drivers License must be acquired 3 years and
up.


3) What payment methods do you accept for the booking and deposit?

We accept cash deposits, Gcash, and Bank Transfer at our
Cagayan de Oro branch. We also accept credit cards and debit cards but with add
on of 5% per transaction. Please confirm payment methods at the branch before
booking.

 

4) What happens if I have an accident or the car breakdown?

Contact us and follow local procedures (police report if
required, arrange a replacement if eligible, and file claims). Keep incident
documents and photos.

 

5) What if I return the car late?

A grace period is provided (typically around 15-20 minutes;
varies by location). Late returns may incur hourly or daily charges. Check your
reservation for exact times and penalties.

 

6) What’s the fuel policy?

Full-to-full: pick up with a full tank and return with a
full tank. If not, you may be charged a refueling fee plus a service charge.

 

7) What if I leave something in the car?

We can assist with locating and returning items, but
retrieval/shipping fees may apply.

 

8 Are their mileage limits?

Policies vary by rate. Some rates include unlimited mileage;
others have daily or regional limits. Verify the terms of your rate at booking.

 

9) Can I take the car across borders or travel to other
islands?

Domestic travel within the Philippines is allowed with
branch confirmation. Cross-island travel or ferry routes may have restrictions
and fees; obtain approvals and confirm coverage with the branch.

 

10) What if the name on the reservation doesn’t match the
driver?

The main driver must be the person named in the rental
contract. If changes are needed, update the contract at the branch with the
required documents.

 

11) What documents do I need at pickup?

Valid driver’s license, government-issued photo ID (passport
for foreigners), Full Payment. If paying with cash, confirm branch requirements
and identifications.

 

12) What vehicle types are available?

For Self-driven cars we have Toyota Wigo AT, Toyota Vios AT,
Toyota Innova AT, Toyota Fortuner AT and Toyota Conquest 4x4 AT.  For our Vans strictly with Driver Only.

 

13) What if I get a ticket or toll during the rental?

Traffic tickets and toll charges are typically the driver’s
responsibility. The rental company may process and add administrative fees.

 

14) What should I do with my belongings?

Do not leave valuables in plain sight. Inspect the car
before and after rental and report any issues to the branch.

 

15) What is your cancellation policy?

Cancellation for guaranteed reservations must be received at
least 48 hours prior to the agreed rental date to avoid 50% cancellation charge
equivalent to total amount agreed. Cancellation made 24 hours before the rental
date, a no-show charge which will cover the total numbers of the agreed days
reserved covered shall be charged.

 

16) Can I make changes without a fee?

Changes may be possible subject to vehicle availability and
fare rules. Modifications can incur administration or rate-change fees.

 

17) Can I pick up at one location and return at another
within the Philippines?

One-way rentals are often available, typically with a
drop-off fee and require advance verification of terms and vehicle
availability.
